Magic Millions Race 2013 was recently held at the Gold
Coast turf club. The event drew everyone from Gold Coast’s fashion elite, racing
enthusiasts and even a royal to enjoy a day of racing despite the hot and muggy
conditions.
The Queen’s granddaughter and Racing Ambassador Zara
Phillips was spotted enjoying the day in the Moet and Chandon Marquee in a earthy hued number that unfortunately didn’t rate to highly among the fashion
set.
Georgia Gardiner, 19, took out first prize in the
‘Fashions on the field’ event winning a return trip to Paris for two, a $15,000
Calleija jewellery piece, a $2500 Myer voucher and a pair of R.M Williams
boots. (With prizes like this why oh why did I not enter)!!!!!
The Elanora local impressed the judges in a neon orange
Shakuhachi dress and a hat she made herself.

Of all the looks on the day though I would have to say
Kate Waterhouse in her SS13 Peter Pilotto shift dress was my absolute favourite.
The colours, cut and embellishments on this piece made it a beautiful work of art.

The night before the big day of racing we were treated to the Magic Millions Gala Cocktail party held by gcVIP founder Andrew Meadowcroft.
The lavish event was held in the poker room at Jupiter’s Hotel and Casino for
over 180 guests. With amazing entertainment, canapés and Chandon flowing all
night it certainly got everyone in the mood for all the action on the field the following day. To see more pictures on this event you can visit gcVIP at – www.gcvip.com.au

That Peter Pilotto dress was amazing, ALL his dresses are a work of art and Kate Waterhouse is the perfect canvas :)
I too am holding out for the Prabal for Target range. It looks so good and I have my list already. Nice to find a fellow Gold Coast blogger . xox
